please steer me in the right direction.
My six your old is going through something. He is a great kid t school. All of his teachers have told me how wonderful he is. But, when he is home he is so bad. He talks back, uses bad words, is justplain mean to his brothers. He tthrows ridiculous fits. Hitting himself, banging things, just screaming his head off. He makes up lies about things and tells us no one loves him, he hates himself, hes stupid. He then gets overly sensitive and feels bad and then he starts all over again.
Some days he seriously pushes me to the brink of Iinsanity. He breaks my heart daily and makes me question if I ruined him. I sit and think what I've done or said or haven'tdone or haven'tsaid. I tell him I love him daily. I praise him, I give him everything. Please tell me where I'vegone wrong where can we seek help? I am heart broken. My world right now feels shattered.
I am in suffolk. Please help us. Therapy? Social worker?

No recommendations. Just wanted to offer you some
My daughter is going through this now with one of her sons.
I'm also interested to see what others suggest.

So sorry you're going through this. Does the school have a social worker in school? I would seek out advice from them.

Re: please steer me in the right direction.
Maybe a developmental ped? Or a child psychologist? My friend went to a child psychologist when she was little. Her parents divorced when she was 6. She was an angel in school and a devil at home. She would literally break things in the house-smash the lamp, etc. No one believed her mom when she would say how bad she was at home. She did a lot of this for attention. The psychologist helped her talk through her emotions and actually helped her find an outlet for it. In her case, it was art (they tried a bunch of things-karate, music, dance, etc.) She wound up making some amazing things. Happy to say she is a well adjusted adult now.
Hang in there. Sending you
