What do you do about huge public toilets if your LO had a really tiny tushie?

I have a fold up potty seat that's supposed to sit on top of the toilet, but I guess some public toilets are too big for it, because my poor DD fell in to the toilet because the travel seat slipped in with her on it Her tush is way too small to sit on a public toilet without some kind of toddler seat. Does anyone know of any that fold up to fit in a purse and also fit well on large toilets?

Why don't they make a stall for children just like the handicapped stall? I saw one of these at a rest stop and can't understand why they aren't everywhere.

That said, I avoid public bathrooms asuch as possible but I have held DD in the past and coat the toilet in layers upon layers of TP.

This might be a dumb question, but for those who hold their child up, do you mean you hover them over the toilet? I tried that and I guess she didn't feel comfortable, so she wouldn't go.

I would just hold her up.

I use disposable toilet covers then hold my daughter when she sits. If a toilet seems very dirty or is wet i hold her.

Do you have a travel potty? We have a le pottete (Sp?) and it's a lifesaver! You can bring it into the stall and have her go on that. I also use it in the backseat of the car when we are out without access to a bathroom.

My kid straddles the toilet.
One leg on each side.
Neither have ever fallen in & they get the balance quickly.
I used to hold them up, but you can't really do Thst if they have to poop.
I also have tried a seat and they get dirty because they dip down a little.

I haven't had any problems with the potette toilet fitting. If I don't have it, I just sit her on the seat and hold her under her pits.

ive never had a problem with my folding potty seat not fitting. I always put it at the front of the toilet and i pick dd up and put her on it so it doesnt move.

if i happen to not have it handy, i just hold her up usually right under the armpits

I sit her on the seat attempting to keep some paper under her and just hold her by her armpits. Sometimes she still has trouble going in those situations bc she's worried about falling in.

Question for the moms who use these portable potty seats . . . What do you do with it after it's been on the dirty toilet? I wouldn't want to carry that around with me after it's been used.

I bought a travel size lysol and sprayed it with that after we used it. I would also wipe it down...
