Toilet Training?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated
DD is completely pee trained
Now poop is an entirely different situation - she is very resistant to poop on the potty - she is afraid/says it will hurt etc...
any advice
I am not pushing it at all, I'm telling her when she is ready it will all be good, just being positive because I dont believe pushing her will help in any way at all - I believe it will do more damage than good
BUT
she needs to be potty trained in order to attend nursery school - HELP!!

Toilet Training?

I am in the same boat. DD is completely pee trained but tells me the poop is scared to come out. After a few difficult days I just told her until she is ready to go on the potty she can tell me when she needs the pull up and to go in that.
Her school will work with us so that isn't super stressful at least.
I wish I had the answer.

I kind of just made faces every time she pooped and talked about how gross it was to poop in a diaper every time I was changing it. I would say how much nicer it is in the toilet and clean. No more smashed up poopies, etc. I'd sometimes even say oh yuck mommy doesn't want to change that yukky diaper. She actually poop trained way before pee. Also made her a potty chart.

In the book I just read (oh crap potty training ), she mentions that it's helpful to normalize the experience and invite your dc in the bathroom with you when you go. She has a whole chapter on pooping. I haven't read that chapter yet, but the book overall has been helpful.

Dd turned three in April and had been peeing in the toilet for way before then but could not pass that poop hurdle!! I also did not want to push her and make her anxious about the potty since she was doing so great with pee. She would wear underwear but would ask for a diaper when she had to poop. Everytine she would have to go we would ask her to try first on the potty. That was our deal and we would praise her and encourage her to push the same as when she goes in the diaper, it won't hurt, we will be so proud etc. Then when nothing came out, we would give her a diaper to poop in. Same as pp while I cleaned her I would say how it's so much cleaner/better to poop on the potty. You can just flush the poopy away and mommy dowsbt have to wipe so much (dd hates being cleaned for poop).

Anyway, we kept at it and I worried about her regressing when baby #2 came like is normal but we had the opposite happen! Baby 2 was born June 14 and had to stay overnight under billi lights a week after he was born. When dd and DH came to visit us, she had to poop and DH hadn't brought any diapers. He took her to the bathroom and talked her through it and she came out announcing toneveryone (doc was in the room) that she pooped on the potty. Had to show me and everything lol. She went two more times that day and has not ONCE gone back to pooping in diapers since then!

Does she have a schedule at all for when she usually poops? If so, I'd put her on the potty with an iPad or something else special and tell her to just hang out around the right time. Maybe if she's distracted it will just happen and be less scary.
