Swim floaties for a 14 month old
What does your dc use in the pool? My ds hates being in the tube, especially since he sees his big sister swimming around in a puddle jumper. Is there something in between? The puddle jumper is too big for him. I'm checking amazon, but just wondering about other people's experiences.

Swim floaties for a 14 month old
I read some of the amazon reviews and bought a puddle jumper for my almost 14 month old. I actually fits him. Obviously he's on the smaller end for it, but it works. My DS is big though. He is 26 pounds and 31 inches. And he's got a broad chest lol. He likes it. Can't hurt to try it. I still hold him while he is wearing the puddle jumper though. He doesn't know to keep his head up.

I have always used a puddle jumper for my DS. He is tiny and it has always fit him. HE is 3.5 now and only 30 lbs so he will gets toms of use out of it but he was using it back about 15 months or so. We just held him then.

Re: Swim floaties for a 14 month old
At that age my ds couldn't "balance" in a life vest or puddle jumper I bought him a life vest that had a longer neck part that in case he fell in he could automatically float into his back Unfortunately most of the time in the pool I just had to hold him. This summer at 2 he uses a puddle jumper no problem

I got DC a puddle jumper at that age. They couldn't really balance in it, so I held them most of the time. We tried a few things, but core strength and balance are going to be an issue in any of those types of things.

A life jacket! Coast guard certified. It has a head piece too. A strap that we can grab. West marine has a good infant selection.

Swim floaties for a 14 month old
I used a puddle jumper since dd was a ltitle over 1. She wasn't 100% balanced with them as she is a year later but she loved them.
