Paci help!

Someone please talk to me about pacifiers! My DS didn't take the paci at all so this is new to me. DD is just 11 weeks (tomorrow) and loves, loves, loves to suck on her paci. I really don't mind it, in general, because it keeps her content and she falls asleep basically as soon as you put it into her mouth.

BUT, I'm having to wake up A LOT at night just to replace it, and i'm not ok with that, especially because I have to go back to work next week so I need the sleep. She falls asleep fine and sleeps for a solid 4 or 5 hours. Then I spend 2-3 hours waking up every few minutes just to pop the paci back in until 5 or 6am when she eats. I know she's still really young, but any suggestions about what I can do about the constant wakings for the paci? Last night it was 5 times, I think. She's still swaddled so she can't suck on her hand.

Have you tried the wabbanub pacifier that might help keep it in her mouth or right by it so she can find it later on in the night.

Get the wubbanub! It's a pacifier attached to a little stuff animal. The weight of the stuffed animal helps to keep it from falling out. That thing saved my life with my twins. They loved them (one had a frog and the other a duck).

Re: Paci help!

We used a wubanub with my one twin and it only helped sometimes. My new baby is ridiculous with the paci and I cant wait to take it away. I took my girls away at 7 mo bc I had to go in and replace it 5x per night each. Aint nobody got time for that!! I was going to use the wubanub with the new baby but she likes the avent paci. So found one on amazon with detachable paci. Sounds great but the stuffed animal isn't heavy enough. I might need to get her used to the wubanub.

Sorry OP for hijacking your thread!! My baby girl wouldn't take the soothies pacifier. After 7 different pacifiers, we finally found she likes the tommee tippee. That being said, what stuffed animal can you attach your own paci to?

Thanks all. Last night was a bit better. I think I only had to replace paci twice. It's hard to remember! Fed at 5am, so not bad.

DD only takes MAM pacifiers. Despite my trying numerous times, she constantly rejected the Wubbanub.
