Where to go for beach and sun Thanksgiving week?
DH makes his schedule 3 months in advance so we are booking all our travel now. We want to go somewhere warm for Thanksgiving.
Where is a good place to go Thanksgiving week?
We will hang out with our families the weekend prior. This is our first time traveling (not to our family's house) during Thanksgiving.
Pretty sure the Bahamas are not warm enough. We have never been to Belize or the Cayman Islands. Mexico and DR are places we have been and enjoyed.

Re: Where to go for beach and sun Thanksgiving week?
I absolutely loved both St. John and BVI with my kids. We stayed at the Westin in St. John and at the Bitter End Yacht Club and in a rental in Mango Bay in Virgin Gorda. We're thinking of doing Puerto Rico next February with our kids...probably Rincon...We aren't huge all-inclusive resort people, we prefer small resorts or vacation rentals. Another thing we have done and loved was chartering a sailboat in the BVI...once all of our kids can swim well we plan to do this as a family.

I've been to Belize and grand cayman. They were both beautiful but the absolute most gorgeous place I've ever been was st. Maarten

We were considering Aruba. Prices were reasonable and it's so beautiful there.

We went to PR in December and it was cooler than I expected it to be, so Bahamas is further up, so I would definitely look that out. I think PR should be okay in Nov, and DR too. If you can swing Aruba.. I'd do that over any other islands!!!!

We went to DR (Breathless in Punta Cana) right before Christmas and it was HOT!!! I'm sure you'll have the same around Thanksgiving.

Been to grand cayman twice in two years that's how much we loved it there. I'm sure it will be lovely, the weather is pretty consistent I think. Seven mile beach has fantastic hotels. Try one near Camana Bay, it's a beautiful outdoor mall with a movie theater.

I just checked flights and there are no direct flights. The problem with Grand Cayman is that we now live in DC and there are no direct flights from here. You would think the nation's capital would have more direct international flights. I was spoiled living in NYC. I always picked direct flights or would pick a different destination. I hate stopovers.

Aruba is nice. I also know someone who went to Turks & Caicos with family and enjoyed it.
