Beach with 10 Week Old

What should i bring?? We're going to the grilling area at Smith's Point, but I'm not sure what to bring for DS.

We're going around 2pm and we usually stay until it starts getting dark.

Re: Beach with 10 Week Old

When I go to the beach with my 8 month old, I bring the following:

large blanket/sheet
umbrella
sunscreen
small cooler bag w/food (for me and baby, but you'll just need a bottle if you don't BF)
toys (again, my baby is older, so maybe a rattle or two for you)
towel
swimming diapers (although for the beach, a regular diaper is fine, just change after it's wet)
diapers & wipes

I'd add for you a small pop up tent if you can OR a bouncy seat. I bring my stroller and pull it on the beach behind me. HTH!

Re: Beach with 10 Week Old

We bring all of the above and then my girlfriend taught be the baby powder trick because i was complaining how sandy she was and it really works, put baby powder on them and the sand just comes right off, I won't go to the beach without it anymore! I also bring fruit and snacks for DD. DD is 10 1/2 months. I brought a big pale and filled it with water she loved splashing around with it. Oh and a sun hat!

My friend does the powder trick with her 3 year old. Works every time!

You put the powder on before or after they are on the beach?

I put it on after and wipe it right off.
