Minor error on birth certificate

So I got dd's birth certificate in the mail today, she will be 3 weeks on Saturday. I noticed there was a minor error on it, not having to do with her name and birth info but with my address- it lists me in the wrong town- so town of oyster bay when I'm really town of Hempstead. I will call to get it corrected but in the meantime it shouldn't matter if I send this in for insurance purposes to get dd added on right? I am pretty sure there is a 30 day window..

I wouldn't worry about it. My sons birth certificate had the wrong address and we never corrected it.

My sister was listed as a boy and no one knew until we tried to sign her up for sports around age 4. Her name is gender neutral, Devin, and insurance never said a word.

Won't matter to get her on insurance, but glad you caught it so it can be fixed regardless

No issue, my son's was wrong too. It swaps i was born in Anchorage Arkansas instead of anchorage alaska. The hospital had taken care of the correction on their own one a supervisor saw the mistake.

Great thanks- I called to get it corrected today and apparently I have to send the original back to the hospital for correction- so being that it is probably going to take forever to get the corrected one back, I made copies to send to insurance. I hate this whole insurance process and how they make you feel rushed! I am actually still waiting for DD's SS card which is odd because I remember it came before the BC for DS!
