Angie's List
Any members who would like to help me out? I have no idea how Angie's List works but I need a list of reputable moving companies or a list of moving companies to avoid in the westbury, ny area. Thank you in advance.

I wasn't all that thrilled with the recommendations from angies list... out of 5 company recommendations (all were rated as an A) only 2 ended up being anywhere close to what I would call an A. I get better recommendations here.
I've never used a moving company down here, we've always moved ourselves. The only time we used a company was about 7 years ago and that was moving from jersey to upstate. I don't remember the name of the company, but they were hired by DH's company at the time.

I used to belong to it for three years, but it never was useful. I could not find the services I needed out east in Suffolk. The one service I did find ripped me off badly and I rated it badly in return. I finally ended my membership.
Perhaps someone on here can suggest a good mover for you. Good luck!

Angie's List is shady IMO. Businesses who advertise on the site get more exposure on the site but that does not mean they are the best ones.
I find it better to use a mix of Yelp and other sites, I find a lot of reviews on Facebook too.

I found it to be of no use. I posted for a brick mason to do tuck pointing and got four landscapers calling me instead. Waste of time as I didn't need pavers to be put down.

Wow I'm surprised! We found someone to build our deck and an electrician this way!
