Parenting tricks of the trade...
During pregnancy did you use (or wish you did) any tricks to prep for baby or yourself -- like using a hair rubber band to loop around the button of your jeans... or using something other than a body pillow to sleep. Things that either saved time, money, or both -- some smart alternatives to the norm. All other tricks or ideas for post baby are also welcome. Thanks!!!

Parenting tricks of the trade...
I bought at destination maternity this kit where you can add a length to jeans or work pants. It was amazing! I didn't even need maternity pants. However prior to that I used a paper clip for my work pants up until 16 weeks. Since the paper clip has two curves. I used the smallest and hen the lingers and hooked it into my work pants!
My only other advise is I opened and washed everything like 80 million swaddlers and DD refused to be swaddled. So it was a waste.

Re: Parenting tricks of the trade...
I dont really have many pregnancy tricks...but in terms of a newborn...
dont stock up on newbron size anything (diapers or clothing)...you never know how big your baby will be born and they outgrow them fast! Even the hospital uses size 1 diapers
This also may be a personal thing but dont buy gender specific toys. For example, i was so we got a gender neutral playmat, car seat, stroller etc. I ended up having one of each so I was able to reuse everything

agree with this. i had some seats and other baby items that were pink for my DD. I wish i got all the bigger items in neutral colors bc now i have DS and don't feel like buying new stuff. so he did sleep in a pink rock n play for the first few months. haha
