Re: Driving to Florida-activities for car?

We drove when we were kids and got a present every hour or so. Gift wrapped and we got to pick which to open. I know my mom wrapped up small dollar toy type toys we could play with in car. I think she gave us dolls then outfits and accessories later in day like an outfit as example.

But this was the 80s and they put a mattress in the back if the station wagon and we didn't ride with seat belts let alone car seats. Chat Icon

A small cookie sheet and magnets in different shapes. We had the Melissa and Doug vehicle and animal magnets. Best thing we brought when we drove to Hilton Head.

We just did the drive down (leaving again Sarurday). Get a Magnadoodle, some Melissa abd Doug water paint pads, and new movies (in addition to their faves, but new ones suck them in).

And for you, booze.

I got my DD a lap desk like the one below and she can color and draw in her carseat using that on her lap.

Also, some new books she hasn't seen before.
Movies and DVDs of shows that are new to her usually keep her quiet for hours.
Tons of snacks.

Driving to Florida-activities for car?

We drove to Florida with my then 2 year old. I brought way too much stuff because I was so worried about her being bored. The things she loved were sticker books and magnets. I bought a metal lunch box at Five Below and filled it with letter and number magnets. That kept her occupied for a long time.
