Asking Godparents?
DH and I have FINALLY decided on Godparents for our DS, we had always been set on Godfather, but just settled on a Godmother. We are going to ask my brother this weekend and want to make it special. I was thinking of having DS hand him a gift with a picture of the two of them from when DS was first born and a nice note. But I'm not sure... I want something nice and memorable. How have you asked?

Asking Godparents?
I just asked my cousin verbally. I made it known to her before I was even pregnant that I wanted her to be my first child's godmother. I wanted her to be my maid of honor but I wasn't allowed to.
For my nephew who is my son's godfather, we got him a Christmas Card for a godfather and had him open ito n Christmas. It said "Will you be my godfather" and I signed it with my little one's name. He loved it.
I think your idea about the frame is great. I got really nice frames that say godmother and godfather on amazon as thank you gifts for my son's baptism.
