Has anyone been? How is the beach/pool? Is it very crowded? how is the Condado area? We've only stayed in the other area by El San Juan Resort and Ritz.
This is for a short getaway without kids. Any advice or tips is appreciated!

The Stellaris?
Ocean water is VERY rough. It was red flagged all 5 days we were there.
Pool area was OK, a little dingey. Not heated so it was cold if you weren't in direct sunlight.
It wasn't crowded when we went (November/December). Except for the one day they filmed 22 Jump Street on the pool deck. SMH When they filmed the beach scenes we were relegated to the side of the beach, almost off of the Marriot property. They edited us out of the film, they put umbrellas and 20 year old girls in bikinis on top of us. (There was only maybe 200 people for the filming, they just cut and paste them multiple times to make it look full. And Channing Tatum isn't as good looking in person as he is in the movies.)

I've been to the Ritz without kids and the Marriott Stellaris with kids. I liked both but I liked the Ritz better (of course). The Marriott worked for us since we had kids with us but it was harder to get a "good" spot at the pool (this was the end of June). It wasn't overly crowded but in order to get in the sun and a good view of the kids, we had to save spots early. I can't speak to the beach because we stayed at the pool but the water was rough. The area was better than the Ritz in that there were more restaurants to walk to. We walked to dinner a couple nights or went into old san juan. I definitely recommend it for a short getaway.
