Do you ever get anxious JUST thinking about your day?
Not sure the point of this post..if it's a vent or if I need to know I'm not the only one BUT
Sometimes I get anxious thinking about all the stuff I have to do For example today I have to drop of cpse paperwork for my ds to get evaluated for speech and I have an appointment that will last a half hour or so and I have to bring all 3 kids. I'm terrified about walking through a high school with 3 kids 4 and under
Then food shopping with all 3
Then a last minute ent appoint for my ds who may need tubes and since its last minute I have to take all 3 . I hate taking them all to specialty appts where I really want to talk and listen to the dr.
Uhhhh anyway I guess tell me I'm not alone or any strategies to get through it all besides drinking at the end of the day!

Re: Do you ever get anxious JUST thinking about your day?
You are definitely not alone. I had to run two errands before work this a.m. (just me, no kids) and I had a mini meltdown in the shower thinking about it. I would say just keep thinking about tonight when all this stuff is done, and you can finally relax (wait, we're moms. Do we ever REALLY relax?) Good luck today!

Maybe you can find a babysitter to help during the day when you need to run errands so you don't always have to take all 3 kids with you? I think I'd be anxious too!

Yes! And I just got anxious reading your post thinking about having to bring all three kids with you. I had to bring all three to the dr the other day by myself and wanted to cry. I had snacks, drinks and tablets. I could barely talk to the dr. Not hey wanted none of what I had for them

I think its normal to feel that way. Now that I have 2 under 2 I get anxious whenever I need to go anywhere with both of them alone. It's so hard!

I do. A thousand times over. Disrupt my DS' routine in anyway and it is all over for the day. This morning his routine got messed up at like 7AM, it will be a very long day.

Re: Do you ever get anxious JUST thinking about your day?
YES! I'm running around doing stuff for dd. earky intervention stuff. Dr appts for both me and her. Errands for me, dd and dh.
Plus doing it in this cold, worrying about slipping on ice etc does not help.

Re: Do you ever get anxious JUST thinking about your day?
Definitely not alone at all... I am having anxiety thinking about Monday when I have my cardiology appointment at LIJ... I have to drive from Smithtown, to Massapequa to pick up ds, bring him with me to the LIJ Cardio appointment... and then bring him home and probably put him right down to bed. I'm trying to figure out if it's just going to be better to ask my mom to watch him, if she can meet me in Massapequa, I really don't want him sitting in that office.

Re: Do you ever get anxious JUST thinking about your day?
I'm nine months pregnant with two toddlers. One of which gets speech and ot twice a week, the appointments end at 12:30 and then he has school at 1:00. After the appointments, I am trying to get two toddlers to put their winter stuff on, get them in their carseats and get to school. All while being 40 pounds heavier than I am used to. It is a complete aniexty nightmare so I feel your pain love. One step at a time.

I had snacks, drinks and tablets. I could barely talk to the dr. Not hey wanted none of what I had for them I had to do the same yesterday. I told dh to text or call me on way home because he drives right by the dr. Told him to check in and see how i was doing and possibly take one kid home if needed. We he called and text me and I couldn't answer because of the insanity. So he went right home. I said if I don't answer there is a reason and I could probably use your help

Yes and no to this.
My youngest is 4--the others are 9 and almost 8--and it's a different kind of anxiety. I'm driving all over the place nearly every afternoon and most weekends to and from activities. Most of it is routine now, but there are those days that my DH won't be home that night and after all the driving and picking up, making dinner, doing homework, now I've got to help them study for three tests alone.
As far as coping, I remind myself that almost nothing in parenting is as bad as you anticipate it's going to be. And if it is, well, at the end of the day you survived it and that's something to be proud of! Lastly, you already said strategies other than this, but wine really is my closest friend.

Yes I can totally relate. Sometimes I think to myself why can't I just be one of those super easy going moms who can handle anything. I hope it all goes well for you today. Brings lots of snacks and sometimes a little bribery goes a long way

that reminds me....I'm out of wine! Do you think its appropriate to bring 3 kids into a liquor store? I can just add that to the list for today
