At what age did you let DC sleep with blanket/stuffed animal?

DS is 10 mos and can only fall asleep with a blanket or animal in hand. I stand quietly waiting for him to doze and then try to take it away but he inevitably wakes and cries until I give it back. He is a restless sleeper so I worry about entanglement, etc. Wondering if anyone can relate and what you did about it? TIA

We started giving her a small lovey around 4-5 months. It's a very thin, breathable, small blankie made by Aden & Anais. She just cuddles it and sometimes it's in her face. It's too small to get tangled up in anything. Around 9 months I started putting a blanket over legs -- thin aden & anais swaddle blanket.

I will say that DD is a very still sleeper. She goes to her side or remains on her back. Never spins around, never rolls over. She's 11.5 months.

Both of my kids had a special, baby "blankie" from around 4 months old. My DD is 6 yo and my DS is almost 2 yo and they both sleep with them EVERY night. It's always curled up in their arms.

I wouldn't take anything away from your LO, he's 10 months old.........he will be fine in the crib with a lovey. If he has something that brings him comfort when he sleeps I would just leave him be. It's cruel to try and take a comfort object from them, my kids would've freaked if I tried.

8months I gave dd a lovey. But she's now 19 months and that's still the only thing I have in her crib.

We have a stuffed animal at 16 months and didn't give a blanket until she was out of the crib at 2.5.

7 months.... I actually put the Aden & Anais stroller blanket over him and he loves wrapping himself up in it. I think it helps him sleep and it comforts him. I see him rubbing the blanket sometimes too.

a few weeks ago... she wasnt really interested in having stuff in there... but now she asks for a blanket.

Sometimes she'll play in there with some stuffed animals so if they are there its because of that not because she asks for them

Stuffed animals- around 14 months or so. Blanket around 20 months. He sleeps with the blanket over his head with stuffed animals piled on top... I wanted to take it away after seeing that, but he won't sleep without it now.

About 2 1/2 I gave her a little stuffed animal. She really has no intest in it though. It just stays in the corner of her bed.

Around 18 mo I gave DD a blanket because it was getting cold and she was old enough. I alternated it with sleep sacks with feet but eventually went for the straight blanket. DS is 2 and just started occasionally sleeping with a stuffed animal, he's had a blanket since 20 mo. I am very cautious about anything in the crib.

After 1... Now he brings toys to bed with him... It looks like a playroom in his crib sometimes

We did these at 4'months because ds loved to cover his face when he slept and these are breathable

Definitely before 1 year I would say... now he is attached to his blanket like Linus from Peanuts!

I still haven't given DD (13 mos) a blanket. She wears a fleece sleep sack, but I started leaving a few small soft toys at 12 months.

When DD turned 1 I gave her a Sherpa lamb to sleep with. Every night she spoons with it. I tried a breathable blanket for a few nights at 16 months but she didn't like it. So now at a year and a half she still only has her lamb.

We gave DD a lovey around 7 months. She was and still is a very restless sleeper and did just fine. We started giving her a blanket only recently around 20 months or so.

6 mo they had glowworms. Then Easter they had those movie blankets with ducky heads.
