Re: Do you go to preschool classmates parties?
I would totally go but I have never been invited.
I don't think the other mothers like me.
This is just like school all over again - I NEVER fit in.

He is sixteen months but the other ages range and quite a few have already had parties.
Whenever I try to socialize with the other mom's they just give me the cold shoulder or look at me like I'm a weird insect.
They think DS is cute, at least.

Do you go to preschool classmates parties?
DS is 4... and we'v been invited to maybe 5 or 6 classmates parties. we usually go, whether its a kid he talks about or not. its not really because i like to go HAHA but more bc DS is an only child and gets bored a lot- so birthday parties are a good excuse to get him out of the house on the weekends LOL

Maybe the older age ranges that are having parties are only inviting kids in that age range? Are they separated into classes? DD really only started getting party invites when she went into the 3 year old room.

It's basically 12 months - 19 months in Julian's room.
And then 19 months + in the other room.

Do you go to preschool classmates parties?
My DD is at a small, in-home daycare and we have never been invited to any of the other kid's parties and I have never invited them to hers.

We usually go if we are available. DD is 3 and has been invited to 3 parties so far - we've gone to 2.

Re: Do you go to preschool classmates parties?
Yes - unless my child specifically tells me the do not want to go (which only happened once) If we don't already have a commitment, I bring them to the party.
I am not at all shy, so it's probably different for me, but I as a FTWM I enjoyed that stage because I got to meet the parents and talk/spend time with them rather than the rushed "HI BYE" in and out the door every morning.
It makes school events more fun, it gives you someone to talk to about the school, teachers, other kids in the class that your child may be having an issue with etc -
I just had a play date last weekend with my older son (Now in K's) dayvare friends - They all went to one SD after 'graduation' and my son is in another .........he was with those boys since 6 months old and he misses them - if I didn't have a relationship w/ the parents, I wouldn't have any way of keeping those kids in his life -
