E-mail or Snail Mail Invitation for KIds Birthday Party?

I haven't received/used evite in many years but I recently have gotten a few evites for kid's birthday parties.. DD"s bday is next month and I am considering using evite to send announcments.. is this common now or should I stick to paper invites via snail mail?

Very common to do evite.
That's all I've gotten recently!

I've done both. Either one is good.

I love paper invites! But we did an email invite for the first time ever (we used punchbowl.) I was happy, we saved so much money. My mil complained a bit, but it was much easier especially with rsvps because you can have the company send reminders and then you don't have to harass people lol.

I personally don't like evite because I have to remember to go check email etc. The paper ones can be hung right on fridge.

For kids I like the paper invites, when we get one I let the kids open it and tell them it's for them they love it

I prefer the evites because it's easy to check email, etc, and/or create reminders. With my SS fridge, I can't hang anything on it! Chat Icon Chat Icon

Either is fine but I prefer a paper invite for a few reasons... sometimes I go weeks or months without checking my email, since I mostly just get spam I hardly ever check it anymore, also when I do check it, I often forget what's in there... whereas a paper invite, I'll keep on the table or put on the fridge & I won't forget about it.

I have done paper in the past but am going to switch to an Evite or Evite type invite. It's so much easier to follow up for RSVPs. I think most people do check their email daily. If they don't open it online you can tell and then send a paper one or tell them to check their email. As a guest I also like the reminders.
