That is absolutely inappropriate, creepy and molest. Just b/c she was a child does not make it ok! I have an older sister and she would have NEVER done anything like this to me, nor would I have fondled my younger brother.
What does her sister have to say about this?
Is Lena a lesbian or bisexual (I am not sure so honestly asking)?
I get that she loves to be weird, and creepy and shocking, but how on Earth did she think this could be OK to anyone? To reveal or possibly even lie, about this history?
She identities as "queer" which in today's language means not hetero. Most people I know who identify as queer tend to look like they are bi, but don't like being called bi.
That being said, I was a huge fan of Lena since Tiny Furniture. (Where her sister and mother are her costars btw, along with a few of the Girls crew) I loved her quirky humor, eccentric style, and was impressed by her success.
I think her goal was to be quirky and funny here, and it failed epically. I first read the clips expecting it to be a big over reaction blown out of proportion, and found myself disturbed by what she wrote. Even of it did happen, the fact she shared it, and in this way, was just wrong. I don't think I can look at her the same way, and I don't get that way. But this is bad and I think it's going to stigmatize her forever. She will always be ever referred to in some way as an incestuous child molestor. Those public figures tend to not go too far. I think this is a career ender.

Right. This is not about her sister being a female. It has to do with her sister being a helpless child who was being manipulated by another child, a trusted family figure/sister no less. That is absolutely molest in the worst degree to me (sibling).

If she thought she could put this out there to NO backlash or criticism, then she was dead wrong. She called herself a predator, but gets mad when others do the same? Pot, meet kettle.
I get that she wants to be provocative and edgy, but this takes it way past that and opens up a much larger dialogue than I think she is prepared to handle - if you're in the spotlight and you put these statements out there, you can't retract them or say they were misconstrued, it's plain as day in the written text.
SHE may not see anything wrong with this, and frankly, in her family dynamic perhaps no one raised an eyebrow to this behavior, but in the larger scope of society and acceptable behavior standards, this is disgusting and inappropriate in every sense.
She is going to take a LOT of heat for this and deservedly so.

I try to look at this from all angles (which I tend to do as a Libra LOL).
1. Curiosity about the human body and its functions are normal - UNTIL you begin to experiment and act those curiosities out on another human being without their consent.
2. Calling yourself a sexual predator, even jokingly, implies the understanding and implications of that behavior and it's inherent impropriety.
3. Being unable to handle the criticism that comes with such sick statements.
Whoever her editor is is getting a serious talking to, I imagine.

She said what happens in alot of households. Some kids do this. I just cant understand why one would put it out into the open and use words like predator etc just to make a buck. There is a difference though with what she did and what that guy from 7th heaven did. He is a true predator.

I still don't think she's a "sexual predator" at 7 years old - I think she's gross and pathetic ......but I don't think you can compare a 7 year old child's though process and behavior to a 16 year old, or 20 year old or 40 or 50 year old .....
AS an adult, NOW, however, I think she should have exercised better judgement and kept her fat mouth shut about certain things .........that the whole world doesn't need to know and therefore comment on -
Even is she's so self obsessed she thought it was a good idea - doesn't she have an eidtor??

Thats INCREDIBLY disturbing. Normal people dont do that, even if they were "just kids."
Some magazine just had a interview with her and the way she spoke of her sister in it was SO weird, I couldnt put my finger on it, but it was off.
In it, she spoke about her sister being a lesbian and coming out.

This excerpt actually makes me think it's LESS weird. I assume there's worse in the book- but nothing in that part seems completely abnormal.
ETA: I am not a fan of hers, explicitly. The only thing I've ever seen her on is SNL. I couldn't care less about her- but the headlines made me curious.

I seriously disagree. I think there's little difference between this and the 7th Heaven guy. The fact is, Lena was six years older than her sister. Significantly older. She manipulated and coerced her sister. The sister was a young toddler who was repeatedly used for sexual gratification for years. I thought it continued until Lena was 17 years old. This is way, way beyond!!!!
There was imbalance of power. That makes it abuse.

This goes way beyond two curious children having a little look. I have a younger sibling and wasn't never interested in any part of his boy parts. We took baths together until he pooped in the tub and that was the end of that. I think I was 3. I cannot imagine bribing him with candy so we could kiss. I actually feel sick thinking about it and can't anymore!

I'm not sure. I remember some weird sexual stuff from when I was a kid. Not with my sibling, but with a couple friends. I remember a few instances of doing stuff like showing each other our private parts and one time a boy our age showing us. No touching. One time I specifically remember was when one of us sprouted some pubes, lol. But this curiosity is a lot different imo bc there was no unwilling person, little sibling, etc. We were just a couple 7 or 8 year olds that were curious about our bodies. What Lena describes is different sounding. My older sibling NEVER touched me. The only thing even remotely sexual I remember with my 2 years older sister, is finding a porn mag once and we looked at it. She was laughing, I was a little younger and more just confused  . I think I was 9.

Where are people getting that it went on for a long time? I thought that Truth Revolt who initially misreported that the behavior continued up until she was 17 has since corrected themselves to say she was only 7.
I haven't read the book. Only the snippets the media outlets are quoting.
I still think she took innocent curiosity and twisted the words for shock value for book sales and its now biting her in the butt.
