How can I get my toddler to nap in the stroller?
DS is 16 months. He might fall asleep in the car if he's really tired but hasn't slept in a stroller since he was an infant (granted, I always have him home in time for nap and in his crib so I'm not really sure what he's capable of). We're heading to sesame place soon and I'd LOVE it if he took a nap in the stroller so his big sister can enjoy the park all day.
Are there any tips/tricks on getting this to happen? Anyone successfully convert a crib-napper into a stroller-napper?

How can I get my toddler to nap in the stroller?
Sesame is the only place DD has napped in a stroller in at least a year so it's possible! We stayed from the early character breakfast through the 7pm parade which would have been a disaster without at least some nap. We parked in the VIP lot (the mid priced one) and packed a lunch so after we'd worn her out we went there to the picnic tables for a quiet lunch. Then we put her in the stroller and walked the sidewalk for a good 10-15 minutes and she eventually passed out and slept for at least an hour.

We've gone to sesame twice now and each time my DS just got so tired during the day at some point that he just passed out himself in the stroller so I wouldn't worry- if your LO is tired enough, they will nap!

Is there a lovey, pacifier or something he holds to sleep?
DS2 was never a carseat or stroller napper. DS1 could fall asleep anyway, but never DS2. Only place he naps is his bed. When we went to Disney last year I hated that he wasn't gonna nap, but when they get tired enough they will pass out.
Just have him do lots of activities early on. Sometime after a nice lunch give him a pacifier or his lovey to hold and walk around in the stroller with the sunshade down. Then just hope he naps. If not there's nothing you can do.

wear him out. THat is the only thing that gets my kid to sleep when we go and do those types of things. Then she will sleep anywhere.

My dd is 25 months and she has never, ever slept in the stroller no matter how tired she was except for when she was an infant (like under 8 months old). Since then... never.

Yup it's possible. I'd recreate her home environment as best I could. She'd be worn out, I'd put her in the stroller, give her a paci, give her a blankie, and put the ocean sound (white noise app on phone) on loud. Id gently recline her, and we'd walk.... Forever. I remember walking non stop just because she loved the movement. I was able to do this until she was about 2.5

My ds is 18 months and will sleep in the stroller at the beach, zoo etc
I bring his blankie
It's never at his regular nap time usually later
I have to walk around a bit but he slept through the parade at sesame ( kind of sad he missed it bc he loves Elmo)
My big kids will too but have to be tired. Like 3 or 4 pm ish

My DD was the same age when we took her to sesame place and let me tell you she was so worn out she slept in the stroller. She usually never slept in the stroller.

How can I get my toddler to nap in the stroller?
My dd doesn't usually fall asleep in the stroller but if she's really exhausted she will. We're also planning a little trip soon and hoping she'll fall asleep either in the stroller or car seat for us. We plan to wear her out and then give her a nice big lunch and then will keep our fingers crossed!

My DS NEVER sleeps in the stroller but we when went to the city all day (and he missed his nap) he did eventually just pass out in the stroller and he got a good nap in.
I think when they are tired enough they will do anything and sleep aywhere. At least that's what I am banking on when we head to Disney in a few weeks!!

My DD would never sleep anywhere except her crib - no car seat or stroller- and uses a paci still for nap and bedtime.
However we just returned from Disney and she passed out every single day for 1 -2 hours in the stroller with no paci, no white noise machine, NOTHING! She was so exhausted she just passed out and no amount of noise around her could wake her up either
If they are tired enough they will pass out - so I have learned
