All those that temp, come on in.
This is my first month temping.
Everything was going great until this morning. My chart has looked like it normally should but this morning my temp shot up. I am only CD10 and I had no other ovulation signs (when I normally have pain etc). I really do not think I ovulated. Besides I had a pretty long cycle last month so I didnt even start taking OPK's until today.
Anyhow I didnt sleep well last night at all. I was up at 2 - using the bathroom and then helping my son use the bathroom. Then he kept me up until 4:30! We were not up walking around but we were in bed tossing and turning a lot. My alarm went off at 5:45 and I took my temp then.
Do you think its accurate? Or just thrown off from my lack of sleep and light activity?
So confused by all of this! I can post my chart if that helps.

Re: All those that temp, come on in.
I temped with my last cycle. If you can, post your chart up.
Based on what you described, its probably just a result of your sleep pattern with waking up, getting up and tossing and turning. Keep temping. If you in fact did ovulate, the temp should stay up for at least 3 consecutive days to confirm whether or not you ovulated. If tomorrows temp is back down to normal, I think it would be safe to say it wasn't ovulation.

The higher temp could definitely be lack of sleep. Happens to me often. See what happens to your temp tomorrow. If you have 3 high temps in a row then you could say that you O'd.

Sorry to post and not answer the question, but I swear I read your subject line as "all about those temps".... as in "all about that bass"...

Took a screenshot from my phone....
If it is back to "normal" tomorrow and no longer high should I just delete todays temp or keep it?
I should have read the 40 emails with instructions FF sent me

Don't delete the temp, just leave on the chart.

Re: All those that temp, come on in.
Temps were up again this morning @ 6am when I rolled over and took it. Slept awful again (sick kid had us up a lot)
FF told me I ovulated based on this.
So I go into the bathroom and take the OPK anyhow out of curiosity (bc I felt a few twinges in my ovaries and usually I am in pain for a full week around ovulation time) Sure enough it was a blinking smiley.
Took my temp again after that (again just curiosity) This was after walking around. Temps were back down to where they were prior to my high temps.
Thoroughly confused. I think maybe I will just for the next 20 days.
In all seriousness, I am going with the OPK's for now.
