Re: 6 month eating schedule
At 6 months we were just starting stage 1 foods:
7am - wake up nurse 10am - 2-3 tablespoons oatmeal with a stage one fruit & a 5oz bottle 1pm - 5oz bottle 4pm - 5oz bottle 7pm - same as 10am
Then after about two weeks we changed to:
7am - wake up nurse 10am - 2-3 tablespoons oatmeal with a stage one fruit & a 5oz bottle 1pm - stage 1 fruit mixed with stage 1 veggie & a 5oz bottle 4pm - 5oz bottle 7pm - same as 10am
At 7.5 months we added in meats and stage 2 foods.

I was told something totally different. I was told to start with one meal a day- introduce orange veggies first each for 4-5 days before moving onto the next then fruits and green veggies. Never giving more then one new food at a time. At 7 months we can introduce oatmeal and then wheat cereal. I was told to introduce meats around 9-10 months. I was encouraged to allow my DD to set the pace. She has food allergies so no milk, beef, soy, etc until after alkergy testing at 11 months. My pediatrician's attitude is that some children will respond quickly to foods and other will not so the child should set the pace.

DD is 6 mo. I just started cereal. I was told the same thing. No dairy until 12 months and start with Yellow/orange colors first with Rice then greens then fruit. 1 food every 3-4 days. check for allergy/sensitivity. Interestingly they never really mentioned meat. Every Md is different i guess

6 month eating schedule
We are doing something different. We are doing Baby led weaning (BLW) instead of purees and cereals.
We still introduce one new food every 3 days but we are giving whole table foods and she tries to feed herself (or at least tries to!). We just started about a week ago with apple slices -- we didn't intend to start with these but I was eating apple slices with her in my lap and she literally grabbed it and put it in her mouth. We've continued from there with orange veggies - sweet potato and carrots so far. It's different and not for everyone but so far we're liking it a lot!
Our ped told us we could start with cereal, then introduce veggies and fruit - 1/day for 3 days, and then in a month introduce yogurt and meat.
ETA: We're following the "rule" of "Food before one, just for fun". She doesn't get a lot in her mouth and plays with it mostly. She gets what she needs from breast milk and formula.
