Minivan and car seat setup
My daughter and I both have the honda odyssey. My granddaughter is almost 4 and uses the graco myride 65. She is behind the passenger seat. My daughter is expecting and we are trying to figure out the placement of the seats and how it would work to still have access to the third row if other people are in the car too. If both carseats are in the middle row, can the seat still be moved up enough to get to the 3rd row seats?

We have an Odyssey as well. We have 3 kids. What we did (upon the recommendation of another LIFer) was take out the middle seat in the second row and move the side seat in so they are next to each other. We have 2 car seats in that row and one in the third. Making that move gives a good amount of space to easily get to the third row.

It leave a big open area to chane the kids , use the potty etc as we travel a good amount.

You should be able to do what wingsofsong said. That's what most do from what I've seen.
As a side note, at almost 4 years old, unless your granddaughter is very petite she may have outgrown the my ride by torso height (regardless of her weight and the harness limit of 65 pounds) The harness straps need to be coming from above her shoulders. If her shoulders are above the top slot the seat is outgrown. If you have any questions or want suggestions for a new seat please PM me!!

Re: Minivan and car seat setup
Thanks for your responses. I have a 2014 minivan and if I remove the small center seat, I don't think my side seats slide together. My daughter has a 2012. I don't know if hers does that. I think they changed it in 2011.

If you remove the center seat any additional passengers should be able to go through there though by going in front of your granddaughter's seat and squeezing through

Re: Minivan and car seat setup
We have a 2014 Odyssey. DS1 is behind the driver's seat and DS2 is behind the passenger's seat. If we need access to the third row, we remove the middle seat and people can go through the aisle.
