No ibuprofen before tubes in ears?
Did your LO have to give up ibuprofen before getting tubes in? The surgical coordinator said only Tylenol for 2 weeks before, but DD is getting her molars in and is in pain at night. Tylenol does nothing for her. I'm going to put in a call to her doc tomorrow, but curious whether you were told no ibuprofen before tubes were put in.

I believe ibuprofen can increase your risk of bleeding which is why they say no to it before surgery.

This is true. We had to cut it off 2 weeks prior. It was hard bc if teething and ear pain. Plus one night he had a fever. Tylenol does nothing for DS either.

I'd ask the doctor. Hylands teething tabs and ice teething toys help too. Or try orajel at night.

You shouldn't take it before any procedure, or dental work. It affects clotting and can cause excessive bleeding.
