How much cash to bring on vacation?
We are going to Puerto Rico. We will arrive on a sat. And come home on we'd. So we'll be there 4 nights. How much cash should we bring? I will bring a credit card also. Haven't been away in a LONG time and I have no idea! Thanks.

Just take cash out of an ATM when you arrive. I wouldn't carry large amounts of cash anywhere.

How many people? What will you be spending it on?
When we have gone away, just the 2 of us, we would bring $1,000 cash/travelers checks.
For a cruise for the 4 of us, they put the things we purchase on the cruise on our cc so we just put that amount in our savings account to pay when the bill comes (and only spend that much).

Just my husband and I. I figured tip money, maybe paying cash for dinner one night,snacks etc. most of what we spend will go on credit card.

I don't like to carry a lot of cash. I wouldn't bring more than $500. It's easy enough to get more from an ATM if you need it. I am most comfortable using credit cards for most things

I usually take $500 cash and often bring home half. I mostly use cash for tips only. Most places take credit cards.
