Registering for baby# 2
Ok i'm pregnant with #2 a boy this time and have a 4 1/2 year old DD. SO everything I have is almost 5 years old and different gender. Should I register again and if yes, what for?

Re: Registering for baby# 2
I'm on the same boat-little guy is 4 and we are team green for #2. I think I need a monitor...do we need new infant car seats? Hope not- they're pricey
Glad you're asking- I hope you get a lot of responses

We'll have a 3 year age gap. Most if my big items (high chair, car seat, PNP, stroller etc.) are gender neutral. Car seat you can check expiration date pretty easily. Mine is fortunately still safe to use.
I might register for a few new items but nothing big. Maybe new blankets, towels, sheets, a few clothing items. I know our friends and family will get us gifts, plus Christmas is soon after.

Mine are only going to be 18 months apart, but I registered for what I needed just so I could get the registry completion discount.
After 5 years, I feel like there are some items that you might want new (towels, wash cloths, birth cloths, etc.).

I want to register for this reason but I can't lie...I feel sort of tacky registering just 3 yrs later...my friends have done and it and it totally makes sense but I don't know ...

This is how I feel. This is #3 for us and there will be a 5 year gap between #1 and #3. We re-used everything we had from #1 for #2 but somethings have since expired. We plan to purchase everything ourself since my family and friends don't do sprinkles. If you know you are going to have a sprinkle then registering would make sense but if not I'm not sure what the point would be besides the coupon.

My kids will be 23 months apart and will be the same sex. I am registering but more for the completion discount. I won't even be telling people that I registered, I just feel weird about it. With a bigger age gap I think it makes sense.

Our children will be 18 months apart. We registered, but used a fake last name. We want the completion discount, plus the 10% gift card BRU is offering for registry purchases.

I registered for stuff we had a gender difference and 3 year age gap...no one really bought stuff off of it i sort of used it as a check list for myself and as a helper for DH if I needed to send him to the store he'd know exactly what to get and the completion discount is nice.

My 2 are 4.5 years apart and I registered. I did it for myself but my mom and MIL threw me a sprinkle w my closest friends and I got everything. I needed new carseats bc mine had expired and other small things. I'm glad I registered.

I didn't but it doesn't hurt to create a registry I'm sure people will ask what you need anyway. Mine are 2 yrs apart, all I needed were gender specific clothes (#1 was boy #2 girl), new bottles/pacifiers/bibs. I also bought a rock n play (didn't have with DS) and just recently a double stroller.

Mine will be 24 months apart. I hadn't planned on registering; but will probably do it for the completion discount. I figure if anyone asks I'll have a small one just with a few items for the 2nd time (wash cloths; other essentials). We got all the big stuff for DS #1 gender neutral so I'm good with what we have.
