What can you tell me about Excellence Playa Mujeres

We've been to the three Excellence properties and this proptery is stunning. Food is great but also subjective - 9 restaurants to choose from, no wrist bands or reservations needed. There is a new resort currently under construction and this has caused a major noise problem especially if a guest is put into building 9. This is only resort of the three that I really felt as if there was a significant difference as to the level of service by upgrading to the club level. Personally, my husband and I prefer the Excellence in Punta Cana the most.

Update - I just reread what I wrote and it came off as a little negative - not my intention. This is a wonderful resort and you will have a great time if you decide to go here and I will be happy to answer any questions

We went here with a group 2 years ago and loved it!! The resort is new and very clean and beautiful. Food was good and their was a lot of variety. Service and grounds were outstanding. The week we went we found it to be a quiet and romantic atmosphere, Im sure it varies on the guests how party like it could get.

We went to Excellence Punta Cana last year and our opinion was it doesn't even come close to Excellence Playa Mujeres. Mainly due the age of the property, wear and tear, less food options and not as high level service.

ETA: the ONE odd thing we all commented on at Excellence Playa Mujeres is that the bathroom does NOT have a door...a very open concept. It wasn't a make or break, just odd....

I don't know what made me think there were casinos in Mexico, but there aren't and that's something we'd like. So I think based on that we will be considering a different location.

Thanks for the feedback though. It looks like a beautiful place and something we will keep on the list for a future trip.
