Suggestions for a Romantic Island vacation.
DH and I are looking to go away for our 10 yr anniversary (without our DC's).
What's your favorite place to go and can you recommend a hotel?

Thanks! I would love to go to Hawaii, but we'll only have 4 nights/5days so I don't want to be traveling for all those hrs. I think it's a 12 hr flight, right?
We went to Aruba for our honeymoon and right now that's at the top of our list. Wanted to see if there are other places to consider.

We went to Le Blanc in Cancun and had a great time. Was really nice and very relaxing

We loved the Ritz in St. Thomas and Little Dix Bay in Virgin Gorda (British Virgin Islands).
LDB is more isolated and quiet. There really isn't a night life. Very romantic. Beautiful beaches and water. Staff was great. The room locations were amazing (I could lie in bed and look at the water and the beach was 20 ft from my door). They also do beach drops where they take you on their private boat and drop you at a beach that only can be accessed by boat so it is very private. They also take you to the Baths, which are cool.
St. Thomas had more going on and you can take the ferry to St. John. The Ritz was amazing. Staff was great. More luxurious than LDB but more typical high end resort.

Aruba is our favorite island. We went there for our honeymoon and then went back again this past February. We stayed at the RIU and The Renaissance, both were amazing but I like RIU better.

I was going to suggest Aruba, which we loved.
But another option is Nevis and/or st kitts.
We flew into st kitts and stayed at the marriott vacation club before taking a ferry to nevis and staying there. Its a very relaxing, secluded, small island.

Suggestions for a Romantic Island vacation.
DH and I have been to Hawaii and St. Lucia. Hawaii was amazing but it was very expensive. We loved St. Lucia and would prefer it over Hawaii.
We stayed at the Hyatt Regency in Maui and the Grand Hyatt in Kauai - both beautiful hotels with great service.
We stayed at Sandals La Toc in St. Lucia for our honeymoon and it was amazing. I honestly can't say enough great things about that vacation. It was all around perfect and I have no complaints.
We loved Sandals so much we booked another trip through them for this year to Jamaica but we're at a toss up between there, Bahamas and Antigua. I've heard great things about all three resorts - I love that they're all inclusive!
I'd check cheapcaribbean.com once you pick your destination - they seem to have great rates if you're looking for an all inclusive!

Suggestions for a Romantic Island vacation.
Bucuti & Tara in Aruba - its a small hotel, adults only and geared towards honeymooners and couples celebrating an anniversary. It has a beautiful beach and you never have to get up early to fight for a lounge chair by the beach or pool. Its not in the hi-rise area, which is a quick cab ride away.

I was also gonna say Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin ISlands we went there for our honeymoon, and are planning to go back next year for our 10 year
We stayed at The Bitter End Yacht Club. ITs not the "Swankiest" place by any means, but great. al meals included, free snorkel trips, free little motor boats you could take out and take to one of the semi- private beaches near by. they will also set up a trip to The Baths for you, which are awesome.
The whole island is very quiet, not touristy... very little night life, though if that's what you're into. but still a great place to spend some time together.
We also had a great time at The Jewel Dunn's River in Jamaica. its an adults only all inclusive. pretty small, so easy to get around, easy to get seats at restaurants, get beach chairs and all of that. and the adults only made it relaxing. the staff was great and very "whatever you want" definitely worth looking into, too

I agree with Virgin Gorda. So peaceful and beautiful. We chartered a sailboat there and then stayed at a small hotel 10 steps from the water. Awesome.

Any adults-only resort that isn't too far away. I like the Dominican Republic, best bang for your buck. Any Sandals is great, too.
If you want a little more upscale, the Westin St. John is paradise...
