Re: spray tanning
I'd lay out in the sun. I wouldn't want to breathe in all the chemicals or absorb them through my skin...but that's just me. Maybe ask your Dr?

Same. I'm super laid back, but I avoid meds and chemicals unless absolutely needed.

I asked my doctor about this at the beginning of my pregnancy and she said she would be fine with me getting a spray tan once in a while if I had a big event but wouldn't encourage it for a weekly or monthly thing. I am 28 weeks and have not gotten one yet but am considering doing just my legs for my baby shower in early May.
My dr. also ok'd at home self tanners in moderation. I have used my san tropez and vita liberata gradual tanners on my legs probably about 4 or 5 times this pregnancy. I do it in a well ventilated area and only when I really need it. I will definitely use one of these if I decide not to do a spray tan for my shower.

Why risk the safety of your baby just to have darker skin?

Re: spray tanning
Ask your Doctor and see what they say.
For me, I see it as chemicals being absorbed directly into your skin. I have no way of knowing what is hitting my bloodstream and how it will affect the baby. I'd choose to be pale. Not saying I eat super duper healthy and avoid all processed food, but for something like this I would skip it.

I asked my Dr about it bc I was going to do it for my shower- she said once in a while it's fine. She also said self tanners at home are fine.. which is what I ended up using bc I only wanted my legs anyways..

honestly is this necessary? she asked a question, plenty of women ask "can i....?" during pregnancy the comment was totally uncalled for.

Exactly. She didn't say she was definitely going to do it. She wanted to know if it was safe. Just like people ask can I eat cold cuts, can I take a sudafed, etc. It's not like she asked, Hey guys is it ok if I main line cocaine while pregnant? God some people would die at the shit I did and ate and DRANK while pregnant. It's amazing my daughter is in one piece!!!
