What side are you on?
No I'd never spend that kind of money. Our set was like $35 and blends into our living room just as much as the 150 toys that are scattered around, lol.

Re: What side are you on?
We have both the pbk set and an ikea set. I am not sure how much the pottery barn set was as my mom bought it but it is made very well and it is bigger (taller) than other sets. My kids are 3 and their feet still don't touch the ground when they are sitting in the chairs so I feel like it will last them a while. The ikea one is made pretty well also but is much smaller. That cost $100 with a table and 3 chairs.

DD got the pottery barn table and chair set at her first birthday. She is now 7 and still uses it every day. Not one issue with the table and chairs at all. Still look brand new.

Re: What side are you on?
Our ugly plastic set started in the LR and spent time in almost every room of the house at some point and right now it's covered in crayon and dried up who knows what in our basement. You don't want to cringe every time something happens to the table and if I spent $200 I would have done a lot of cringing.
We won't even buy an expensive coffee table right now because of the inevitable drum, coloring book or plate it will become. Glad I bought a cheap plastic set and that I can hose it down when I get the chance lol. We have had it only 2 years.

Re: What side are you on?
I have a PBK wooden table set and it's so nice looking. Been holding up great. My mother in law actually still has her wooden kids table and chairs from when my DH and his brother where little. It's 30+ years old. The top needs a little touch up but other then that it's in great condition. My kids use it now. I have no problem spending money on a quality set. Plus I don't like too much plastic around.
