Constipation help
DD is 3 months and I just started supplementing with formula since I am going back to work. She is horribly constipated and has hard poops - she screams every time she tries to poop and can't get it out.  My doc is closed today - what can I give her to help? I gave some water I know my ped has rec that in the past. Anything else??? Is there an infant stool softener?? I can't stand to see her in so much pain.

Constipation help
My DD's Ped told me to get pear juice and give her a couple of ounces when she used to get constipated as a baby. I used to get the Gerber one. HTH.

Constipation help
My daughter had the same issue. We changed her formula to soy, gave her 4 ounces of prune juice a day, and the problem has gotten better.

AN ounce of pear juice 2-3 times a day mixed in with her formula...
