Fever after Prevnar/Hib Shot?

If your LO had a fever after these shots, how long did it last? 8-month-old DS has never had more than one shot at once, until Tuesday. I figured now that he's a little older and bigger, he could handle 2 at once. Well, he's been a miserable, feverish mess since Tuesday night. His fever has been 102 before Tylenol since Tuesday. Doctor said this is normal and could last from 2-3 days? Has anyone's LO had a fever that lasted this long? I'm just wondering because older DD never had this reaction.

(And I don't think he's sick...he and my DD have not been around other children for over a week.)

DS 1 got a fever after his HIB shot at 15 months - he got it with the MMR and typically the MMR side effects are 8-10 days later.

I can't remember how long it lasted but, I believe it was for a few days.

DS had a fever after HIB/prevnar and it lasted about 2 days.

He's miserable after shots - to the point that we now just give Tylenol before we go to doctor and again 6 hours later - then see how he's feeling the next morning.

I hope he feels better soon!

I ususally medicate my kids when they get the Prevnar shot. It's very likely to cause fever.

Prevnar was the only one my DD got a fever at 4 mths old with. Lasted about one day.

My ds only got a low fever the 1st time he received that vaccine. I gave tylenol twice and he was ok.
