bed rails??? toddler/big kid bed

So my twins are 2.5 and still in their cribs. Their cribs convert to toddler beds. We do not have the bed rail pieces. I could order the ones that are designed for their cribs, but dont want to spend the $$ twice if I'm going to have to buy bed rails for their big kid bed in a few years.

Is there a bed rail that can be used for both toddler and single beds?

I am using a regular bed rail with mine.
It also works in a queen bed
