two week old has cold
Caught it from toddler/whole house did. Took baby to Dr today, its just in his nose-chest is clear...I'm not as panicked I guess cause its my second but my first was never sick this young. I'm doing saline drop s-- nose sucker-Humidifier- steam from running shower....sleeping elevated rock n play.. What do they mean 'can't breathe through mouth'that freaks me out...what if I'm sleeping tonight (unlikely!) and he can't breathe can he let me know...? He'd cry right and can breathe through mouth when he cries no?

Re: two week old has cold
Even babies that aren't sick tend to have stuffy noses/sound like they can't breath out their nose. Something about the newborn anatomy of the nose that makes them stuffy all the time. It sounds like you are doing everything right. As long as he is feeding and peeing ok and no fever I wouldn't worry too much. He will be able to breath, don't worry.
When you have a toddler you can't help everyone getting sick sometimes.
