Do you have a child with a hefty appetite?

My oldest who is 6 can eat BIG time. He can have 3 slices of pizza or 2 cheeseburgers, fries and even a few chicken nuggets or a nice size bowl of pasta...and still be hungry an hour later! He's not overweight, he does have a stocky build is active taking karate 3 times a week and swimming once a week. He will eat vegetables and fruit also throughout the day. I'm just curious if anyone else has a young child with this kind of appetite. I feel like I'm feeding a football player at times.

This is my son to a T, except he is 5. He is also in a lot of activities as well. He does poop a lot.

Two weeks ago he ate breakfast and had basketball. I gave him a snack & then I took him to swim. Right after he had a Bagel with cream cheese and then we went to a Chinese Buffet. A short time after that while I felt like I had rocks in my stomach, the kid ate 3 pancakes at my friends house and some pasta with alfredo sauce. We all sat there with our mouth open wide.

Sometimes, i feel like I have to stop him if I feel like he is over stuffing himself. But he does snack on veggies, fruits and healthy stuff through out the day.


When he was two & a half, I was feeding him a full bowl of oatmeal and without my knowledge he was eating two breakfast in daycare because he was telling them he was hungry.

Sounds like my youngest who is 3.5. He eats a lot but is so active which I think attributes to the bigger appetite. I stop him at times bc I think he is overstuffing,

He is not overweight by any means but stocky. He loves his fruits & some veggies. He loves his protein though
