Fever in 2WW

For three days I've had on and off fever ranging from 100.3 to 101.9, chills that come and go and are so bad I'm in bed with my teeth chattering and a constant headache.

I'm 12dpo, anyone know if fevers that high or contracting from chills can effect implantation? I'm trying to control it with tylonol since I know Advil and aspirin are big no-nos.

YOUR HEALTH IS NUMBER ONE - if Tylenol isn't doing it take the Advil (not aspirin for fever reduction). Go to the doctor already, after a few days of fighting it you likely need an antibiotic unless it's viral.... Best to check it out.

To be honest I don't think anything affects a possible pregnancy at this early on. People do drugs, drink, and smoke, without even knowing they are pregnant, and their babies turn out fine. I would take care of yourself first.

Yeah did I mention I'm stuck in VT on a ski trip at my family's house with DHs cousins and friends. So no doctor until at least Monday. DH offered to drive me home tonight, but he's crazy, it's 5 1/2 hours each way.

Advil and Motrin and Aspirin are No-nos if you are pregnant. Do not live your 2WW by doing anything different than you normally would.

If I had a fever I would take whatever I needed to to feel better.

I'm sick too! On antibiotics, naproxen, and cough syrup. I wouldn't worry about it. I think I def missed my O day because of this but whatever, what can you do? Health first!!!!!!

I had bronchitis and was on antibiotics and cough syrup with codeine when I found our I was pregnant-my doctor was not concerned-he said there is no risk to the baby that early in pregnancy.

ETA: go to a walk in place if you are really sick like a first med or stat med.

The only instructions my RE gives me each month regarding the 2WW is under no circumstances use Advil or Aspirin. Tylenol only.

not for nothing, but advil is a muscle relaxant, similar family as aleve (advil/motrin are IBUPROFEN, aleve is NAPROXEN)... my bff was told to CONTINUE TAKING THE ALEVE for her neck pain (it was dibilitating and she's still in tons of pain) throughout her pregnancy.. granted she didn't find out that she was pregnant until she was already 12 weeks, but still... Also, I think that any fever you have would be more serious and harmful to possible implantation than 2 advil.

I called the RE yesterday afternoon just after I posted and they still said no Advil, no Aspirin, control the fever with Tylenol if I can and recommended seeing my GP if it doesn't go down. But it's gone down a lot, last night it was 100.8 and I didn't wake up in chills last night so this morning it was 99.8 with no Tylenol in my system. l. Which is good because I really didn't want to go to a dr in VT.

FYI the reason they told me Advil and Aspirin is a no no in the two week wait because it can inhibit implantation. I actually agree about not changing my lifestyle in the TWW, I've been doing this for 3 years, it would make me crazy worrying about everything two weeks every month.

And thanks for all the advice ladies.
