Car seat/Booster seat ???
DD 2 is ready to move to a convertible seat from the bucket. DD 1 has the britax advocate and has only used it for 2 years. I was thinking of getting DD 1 a toddler booster seat and giving DD 2 the britax advocate. Does anyone have any recommendations? is this a good idea or should I go with two convertible seats? Any information or experience is appreciated. (DD 1 is a little over 3.5)

Car seat/Booster seat ???
You want a combination seat like a graco nautilitus or a britax frontier or pioneer for the older one. She's not old enough for just a straight booster. These are all harnessed seats that convert to boosters when she is older.
These seats are just as safe as a convertible, so passing down the advocate is a good plan.

Thank you for the information We went to buy buy baby and the sales person showed us a Britax Pinnacle 90 (I think this was the name). It did not have a back bottom seperation like a typical booster seat. It had the side impact, head support with flaps, 5 point harness . Is this the same??

Yeah I meant pinnacle not pioneer. That's a really expensive one, there are other choices. It only converts to a high back booster, not. A low back, but a low back booster is like 20 bucks, so you can just buy one when you need one ine like 3 or 4 years.
There are other choices like the graco nautilitus or Argos. It depends on how big your child is and how soon they will outgrow. But I doubt you can go wrong with the pinnacle. The fronteir 90 is a step up from that and has a super easy install. But it might be overkill unless you have a really tall baby

Re: Car seat/Booster seat ???
At 2 she still needs to be harnessed. Some good reccomednations are Britax pioneer, evenflo secure kid 400, graco Argos or nAutlis.

The recommendation i give to the parents i see agree with your suggestion. Providing the age of the older child's seat is still good you give that to DD1 and buy the new seat for your DD2. This seat will be a combination seat.
There are several good ones on the market. But as always, before a proper recommendation can be given, what vehicle do you drive?
If you need assistance with the installation of the seat FM me and i can direct you to someone near you if not me.
