When did you move your toddler to a booster seat in the car or whatever they're called?
I just realized that Ava is now at the weight limit for her carseat. I feel like she's too young to move to a booster or whatever you call them, even though I know they make them with 5 pt. harnesses, I just feel like she's soooo young. I'm not about to spend money on a Britax for her, so please recommend your booster thingy!

Rachel- what you want is a "convertible car seat" or some of them are called "3 in 1".
my almost 6yr old is still in a 5pt harness. and I will keep him in it as long as possible.
we have an Eddie Bauer, and then another that was highly recommended here and has great safety reviews also, the Alpha Omega Elite.

I still have my son, who is 4, in his Britax Marathon (so is Lauren who is 28 months). The Marathon goes to 65 lbs... I have looked at booster seats for him, but will wait at least another 6 months because there is no reason I need to move him as he still meets all the requirements of the Marathon.
What seat do you have that she is already at the weight limt??
Here's a few I've looked at recently that have the 5-point harness (because at her age, using one with the seatbelt wasn't an option for me):

Ds is in a convertible to high back booster made by Eddie Bauer. He is a tall boy and 40lbs. He is especially tall in the torsoso now we have him in it as a high back booster.

when she outgrew her britax marathon, we moved her to this oneSafeguard Go
she'll remain with this for another 2 years
(she is five now, and weighs about 40lbs)

My 5 1/2 year old is still in a Britax.
Same here, and barring a major growth spurt, will probably make until his 6th b-day in May....
