Traveling and Pumping
I have a work trip next month and will be gone for a week. DD will be almost 6 1/2 mos. First time away from her
I plan on transitioning to formula by the end of this month and still bf at least a couple of times a day hopefully. I'm just not producing enough to continue to EBF and def will not have enough to leave for a work week away.
How do you pump when you travel? I won't be able to do it during the work day because I will be at training and there will be nowhere for me to do it. I plan on pumping prior to the workday, after, and at night before bed. Is this enough? I don't want to have any issues and I would like to continue to bf when I return home.
Also, if I take Amtrak is milk storage doable, like a cooler? My travel options are train or plane and I much prefer train.
TIA!

Re: Traveling and Pumping
I suggest traveling with a small cooler bag with ice packs. Then buy the zip lock milk storage bags and a larger bag or two to keep them in. Make sure to request a refrigerator at your hotel.
