I think I failed my glucose test. UPDATE
I have my dr appt tomorrow but being the impatient person I am I called my dr office. The nurse called me and said she needed to check with the dr since she wasn't sure about my numbers with the two hour test. She thinks that one of the draws was abnormal by 1 pt but another one was definitely abnormal. Not sure what they do in this case. Really hoping they don't make me leave the midwives and go to the Hight risk dr. I am so mad at myself. I feel like it is my fault since I love carbs so much. I am a picky eater and now I am doing to have to watch every little thing. Anyone have good meal suggestions?
***UPDATE***
Well I failed one out of the four draws. I go back next week for a consult with the MFM dr and nutritionist. I have to get diabetic supplies from my ins co. They will check me in two weeks and see if it is working. I know it could be worse but I am bummed. Wanted to keep my great pregnancy going. Good news is my pressure was excellent.

if you failed by 1 point maybe see if they will let you take the 3 hour test before treating you with GD
i know if you fail the 1 hour they have you take the 3 hour...just not sure how it works when you take the 2 hour

I think I failed my glucose test
What you eat regularly has no bearing on whether or not you failed. It's how your body reacts to the pregnancy and by carrying twins, your body is working even harder. It's really not that terrible and it's temporary.
From what I know, you can stay with the midwives but they will most likely have you meet with the high risk dr at least once. As long as it's not Avila, you'll be fine (you go to SB right?).

Landres. She's ok. Kinda quirky. Only met with her once. If you have to meet with the high risk, which liek i said, you may not even have to b/c it's my understanding that the midwives will stay with you if you have GD, my favorite of the high risk dr's is Dr. Bernasko.
Just do not meet with Avila. She messed up a few times with me and I am not happy with her.

I failed the 2 hour and was diagnosed with GD. I think the idea behind doing the 2 hour is that it's a one shot deal.

That was my understanding as well
fingers crossed for you that the nurse was wrong! if you do have GD it is really not that bad, i promise.

I failed my one-hour by 30 points. They wanted to send me to a three-hour, but I refused. I elected to track my diet and prick my finger instead. My numbers came back fine, and I was cleared by the high-risk doctor. See how it goes and don't worry.

I just took the 1 hr again today. For some reason they made me take one last month which I passed. I am hoping that I passed this time again but I am going to prepare for the fail. I cant even say the "for the worst" because even though i had it last time round it really helped me keep my weight in check.

I was diagnosed with border line GD! It wasn't fun in the beginning but I have gotten used to it all. Fm me if you have any questions! Good luck!

It'll be ok! The finger pricking is not bad at all and I am terrified of needles. Following the diet isn't too bad either. I've lost over 20lbs since being on it!
Do you know which MFM you're seeing? The nutritionist is super nice. I only had to see her twice and i was diagnosed at 13w and I'm almost 30w now.
