How to ease afternoon/evening sickness?
I'm 8w1d and m/s has hit me hard this past week. I'm fine until about 1:00 then it all goes downhill. I've only thrown up once but the nausea is awful. I feel like I'm constantly on a tiny ship in the middle of the ocean. Walking and driving are tough because of the motion.
Any remedies I can try? I've been eating saltines (about all I can stomach) and drinking lemonade.
I'm hoping this gets better soon. I go back to work on 1/6 and hoped to hide it until the end of January.

Re: How to ease afternoon/evening sickness?
Things that helped me:
1. Eating! -lots of carbs 2. Psibands-I kept them really tight and that helped a little. 3. B12 and Unisom at night. 4. fresh air, walking around, etc.

How to ease afternoon/evening sickness?
I had afternoon sickness from week 6-12 and weirdly, the only thing that helped me was sucking on jolly ranchers!

Re: How to ease afternoon/evening sickness?
Bagels, pretzels and ginger ale were lifesavers for me in the first trimester. Also, try taking your prenatals at night instead of in the morning. That seems to help as well.

Re: How to ease afternoon/evening sickness?
I find that if I let my stomach get empty i set myself up for getting really sick. I'm 9 wks and eating crackers, rice cakes, bagels, sour candy. I can't wait for this to end.

How to ease afternoon/evening sickness?
Ugh- mine comes and goes in waves.... I do feel better after eating, but usually feel too sick to get myself to eat! (so I just overindulge when Im not nauseous!-lol)
Im finding citrus (grapefruit or water with lemon) and fresh air- help the best!

My dr gave me a special prenatal vitamin to help with ms with b6 and ginger. Ask your dr about it, called B-nexa. I took ot at night and felt great next day!

Re: How to ease afternoon/evening sickness?
I just read that protein supposedly works better than carbs so I've been trying cheese sticks, pb with bananas etc

How to ease afternoon/evening sickness?
Im so so sorry your not feeling well. I had m/s for 5 months! I felt like I would go through phases of what would make me feel better. Sucking candy definitely helped and when I could eat I would have carbs. I tried it all Sea-Bands, mints, ginger, ginger-ale, lemon, saltines, eating before I got up. Unfortunately I didn't find one thing that cured it. It stinks but you will have to wait it out and listen to your body. Hang in there! HUGS*
