transitioning to regular meal schedule

DS is 9.5 months. He is starting to eat more and more table food... so now I am curious how I can and will transition him to a normal eating schedule...

Right now
730 - 6 oz bottle
930 - breakfast, a jar of fruit then on wknds, whatever we eat, pancakes, eggs, etc
1130 - 6 oz bottle
130 - jar of veggie
330 - 6 oz bottle
630 - dinner - what we are eating, sometimes half a jar if i don't think he had enought
8pm - 8 oz bottle..

He also has puffs, crunchies, cheerios, etc with his meals.

I would have to bring him to day care earlier for him to eat breakfast there and the infant room doesn't see to get lunch yet... but i am sure he could.

transitioning to regular meal schedule

I would just start to give table food at the times you would normally do B, L & D.

If you tend to eat on a different schedule as a family then I would slowly try to move it.

My DS eats on a different schedule at daycare then when he is home on weekends and seems to adapt pretty well.

dd is the same age - im having trouble with table food (she only likes crunchy stuff), but we give her food and bottle about 30 minutes apart (except for the morning bottle bc she usually goes back to sleep after it)
it makes things much easier

her schedule is:
6:30 bottle
10am - breakfast
10:30 bottle
2pm - lunch
2:30pm - bottle
6pm dinner
7pm bottle

I think when you drop down to 3 bottles, that will help..

830am breakfast
1130 lunch
130 8oz bottle
230 snack
430 dinner
630 8oz bottle

DS is 10.5 months and his schedule is roughly...

7am - 6oz bottle
8:30am - breakfast
12:30pm - lunch
4pm - 6oz bottle
7pm - dinner
8:30pm - 8oz bottle

And he gets snacks in the middle if he seems hungry

I guess once i start giving him more of a realy breakfast and lunch, it will be easier to drop to 3 bottles?

I let DS naturally drop a bottle. When he stopped finishing his bottles (would only take 2-3 oz) I'd give him food instead. That's when I knew he was preferring food and he just naturally dropped that 4th bottle.

There are some random days he's hungry and still takes 4 bottles, but those are few and far between. I don't stick to a strict schedule/routine but follow DS's cues.

transitioning to regular meal schedule

So I posted something similar and got great feedback - I dont think DS was ever going to cut down on bottles.. he was doing almost 5 bottles plus food... but with the help of his teacher we are down to 3 and only a 4th if I am running late to pick him up.
So we are doing BLD and three bottles spaced with the food. Puffs/cookies/crunchies and WATER!
