8 months off TTC and RE
Wow I am out again, I don't know what we are doing wrong, we BD on schedule. OB said everything was fine in October and if I am not pregnant in 2 months to call her and she will refer me to a RE. I am 32 and I think I am going to make the call. What exactly does a RE do? or test for?
ETA: I have a DD and it only took 4 months to conceive her. that was a little less than 4 years ago so I am sure my eggs are slowing down.
Thanks!

I am being treated for what they call unexplained infertility... I've been trying 3 years but I had fibroids and had surgery... but post surgery it should have been easy. But honestly so much has to go right for a baby to happen. But an RE will run bloodwork tests, do sonograms, and may do other tests depending on what they find. They may monitor you to see if your ovulating. Usually in early 30s they say try a year before seeing an RE. Insurance won't cover it at all until you've been trying a year, if your plan covers it.

8 months off TTC and RE
Ds#1 was a surprise DS#2 I got preggo with on the very first month of TTC
this time around was very different..Af was never the same (if she came at all) I O'd different times every month (if at all) and after 6 months of "doing everything right" I went to see an RE...
My thyroid level was very high and I was put on synthroid (which actually helped some other "issues" I was having as well)- I ran through a slew of other tests and all came back OK....Next step was getting DH tested- but I ended up with a BFP this month...
So between my thyroid and prob just the peace of mind from the RE that everything was working- it all worked out!
Good luck to you! Im so glad I didn't wait any longer and saw the RE when I did :)

This!
Also check with your insurance to see how long the wait is. I didn't have a wait with my insurance and I went to an RE after 4 months. I also had PCOS diagnosed from my GYN prior so that might have played a part in being able to see an RE sooner.
Good Luck with everything, TTC is such a hard thing when it doesn't happen right away
