Telling mom
I am 6 weeks pregnant. We are waiting to tell our families until I am 12 weeks - most likely. BUT, I know if I wait and tell my mom then too, she will be pissed. We are going to tell her Christmas. How can we do it in a cute way? I already have a dc.

I'm going to be a FTM but we bought a sonogram frame that said "Coming Soon" and put a pic from my 8 week sono in there. We put it in a gift bag and gave it to her, telling her it was a thank you gift b/c she's helped us clean and work on our new house. She was like, "Ohh, you don't have to get me anything! I'm the mom, I'm supposed to help." I said, "Well I can't take it back so open it!" When she unwrapped it, her face was pure shock, followed by crying & "ohhh myyy godddd!" & then jumping up and down & hugging DH and me, all while continuing to cry and asking "when??". I took video on my phone (she didn't know I was taping her). It's the best thing ever. We did this with my MIL too and she had a similar reaction

I told my parents when they came back from their cruise and we picked them up in the city. I was telling her what we did that week they were away and I mentioned I went to see our wedding photographer to pick out our thank you cards and album. I said "they gave me one more picture" and handed her the sonogram pic. She freaked out! It was a nice surprise for her, especially since my sister had been so difficult the whole week they were gone constantly bothering them via text and email.

for my first pregnancy DH & I told my parents at Christmas time. We got an ornament that looked like grandparents and had it written "just found out we are going to be grandparents" with the year. They were so surprised and now they hang the ornament on the tree every year with the wonderful memory of that day!

We were leaving on a family vacation with my mom and were waiting to board the plane. While we waited I told her that DS might get cold on the plane so brought him a long sleeve T to change into. And I held it up and it said "Best Bro Ever". We have her reaction on video too, it was priceless
