That doesn't happen till closer to one. For the first year formula or bm needs to be the main source of nutrtion.

There's a lot more calories in 4 oz of formula or bm vs a jar of squash or something that probably has 50 calories

You said in another post your DC is 4.5 months old.

Food should absolutely NOT be replacing bottles at this point. BM/Formula contains all of the nutrition they need and should still be getting their normal amount.

It is typically suggested that you feed the bottle first, then offer solids later so the solids to not replace the BM/formula.

Once they're older (around 9-12 months) and are eating a wide variety of foods, then solids may start to cut down their bottles.

I make sure my dd takes her bottles. She's only 5 months and everything she needs until 1 comes from her formula or bm. That is way more important than cereal or purées. I always give her the bottle first, wait an hour for solids bc she needs to be hungry for the bottle.

Re: food replacing bottle?

DD will be 1 in 2 weeks and I just cut down a bottle yesterday! Bottles are still the main source of nutrition. You will see dc possibly drinking less in the bottles as the foods fill dc up, but don't look to reduce until awhile from now!
