2 year old eating

So how does your 2 year old eat? In a high chair? At the table? Plate? Bowl? Do they dump the plate/bowl? Bib/no bib? Do you sit and eat with them?

I just want to know if my twins are comparable to others.

At 2 we moved to booster chairs at the table. Messy dinners a bib for sure or shirt off...otherwise no bib. Use a plate mostly bowl for pasta dishes. They used forks and spoons. If left unsupervised at the table they would sometimes dump their food or throw it each other. Cups still end up on the floor a lot.

My 2.5 year old has been sitting at our table since he could climb up on his own at 12 month-ish, no booster seat. We have a bar height table so high chair didn't work. No bibs. He uses bowls, plates, spoons, forks and regular open topped cups. DS will sometimes toss the food to the dog but otherwise everything stays on the plate. When he is done eating he tosses his leftovers in the trash and throws his plate, cups and utensils in the sink. He has been doing all this since 12-18 months. Most of the time we all sit down together.

DS is still in his highchair, but we've been discussing a booster. some food goes in a bowl, but unfortunately the tray for the space saver isn't big enough for the plate we have and I think he is so used to us putting the food on the tray that he prefers it. It also depends on what we are eating if we put a bib on him and his mood if he'll keep the bib on! and we all eat together at the table

However, when he eats at my in-laws when they watch him he eats off a plate in a booster at the table. kids

2 year old eating

My DD still sits in a highchair at home, but at restaurants she just sits on a chair or booth on her knees. No bibs at all. She eats off of plates/bowls but sometimes dumps her food on the tray. She uses forks and spoons too but will still eat with her hands. We eat all together at the table.

DD is 25 months. She uses a booster seat at the table. One day she started calling her high chair a "baby chair" and refused to sit in it.
She uses dishes and rarely dumps them (that was. Lot of work on my part).
She uses utensils most of the time, but still uses her hands over a fork a good amount.
I sit with her a good amount, but not always.

2 year old eating

Ds is 21 months. He has been in a booster since the early summer. He eats from a plate or bowl and uses utensils. He will dump sometimes and he piles. Yesterday he piled his corn on the napkin.

No bib. He gets messy if it's yogurt or something but we don't really care.

DS just moved to a booster last month, because our 6 month old began using the highchair. We give him his food on a plate or in a bowl, but he dumps it every time. Drives me crazy. He will use the spoon for yogurt, soup, things like that. But pasta, for example, he prefers to dump and use his hands. No bib, we stopped a bib around 18 months.
