Need to order a bridesmaid dress
I need to go get fitted soon for a friend's wedding in late April. I'm not quite sure how I should deal with it since we are TTC but obviously have not had success for a couple years. I don't want to bank on being pregnant by the time of the wedding because even if I got pg this cycle, I'd be about 7 months around the wedding. The dress is (thankfully) empire waist but I'm still not entirely sure if I should have them size up or not. Any advice?

Re: Need to order a bridesmaid dress
I'm in the same situation. I am in a wedding in May and going dress shopping in a few weeks.
I know I'm always told it is easier to take things in then let them out. So maybe you should order the bigger size just in case.
Also ask the dress shop when is the latest you can order the dress.

Re: Need to order a bridesmaid dress
I have ordered bigger just in case and been very upset when I have a dress 4 sizes too big and nothing close to a baby. From this point on I have decided I would rather pay to reorder the dress , or pay to have it reconstructed then be in that situation again.
Eta: I still may do one size bigger or the larger size if between 2. This way if you are only 3 or 4 months preg at the time you should be fine, but won't have a dress that two of you can fit in to rub it in if you are still not pregnant.

Re: Need to order a bridesmaid dress
I had a similar situation for a friend's wedding and the wedding coordinator at the bridal shop advised me to order the appropriate size that I was at the time of the order. We did wait a little to order them. No bfp, but the dress fit just right :)
Another of her bridesmaids ordered her dress, and also ordered a yard or two of extra fabric which was not a lot of money at all. Don't remember if she was ttc or just found out she was preg but she was pregnant at the wedding, and ended up using her extra fabric.
I would definitely ask when the latest the order can be put in is.
Good Luck!

Need to order a bridesmaid dress
I would let the other girls submit their order and I would would do a seperate order for myself. Usually they take about 12 weeks to come in after they've been ordered. That ought to buy you some time. If you can't then I'd order 1 size up to play it safe.

Re: Need to order a bridesmaid dress
I don't think I need to order until next month so there's *some* time but not much. I guess we'll see if IUI #2 will take.

Need to order a bridesmaid dress
I was in the same boat. I was in 1 wedding thought I would be pregnant and had two chemicals. I didn't order bigger but the thought crossed my mine. The store told me not to. Then, I was in another wedding and said I wasn't ordering bigger because it hurt the last time. So, I ordered my regular size and got my BFP. I was 6 months pregnant and my dress didn't fit...so I had to choices- alter it or get a new dress. Luckily David's Bridal let me exchange it no problem with something in stock!

Need to order a bridesmaid dress
I ordered 1 size up. No BFp but it was fine. I think during all the 2ww I ended up gaining a couple and it fit fine! Lol
