Or reintroduce myself...
My name is Michelle
I am an 09 LIW bride and was on here with all the 09ers not long after our weddings. But then I was diagnosed with a uterine fibroid by my OB and told to stop trying until I had it removed. So I left TTC.
Then winter/spring 11/12 I rejoined this board after seeing an RE who suggested we try for a while before removing it.
But when the fibroid hit 7.5 inches surgery was inevitable and I left again.
My surgery (myomectomy) was 9/19/12. They removed a 9x8x8 fibroid " about the size of a large grapefruit or small cantaloupe" I was told.
We got the go ahead to try in January 2013, but after only two cycles I lost my hearing and balance overnight to a virus. March - July were spent at doctors, in therapy and trying to figure out what happened to me and how to fix it.
Finally in August with my hearing at about 50% partially distorted and my balance at 82% we were told there is nothing they can do for me anymore, ill either improve or I won't, but there is no reason not to try.
So we're in month 2 of TTC AGAIN (but I went off the pill in April 2010), 1 year after my surgery, so hoping that will be lucky for me. I'm mid TWW, 8 DPO.
Even though we're only 2 months into trying on our own this go around this is my last doctor free cycle because my RE is concerned my fibroid could grow back, so he wanted to intervene within a year.
So good luck everyone. Hope there are lots of BFPs! I hope to learn a lot from you all and If anyone needs advice about myomectomies I'm your girl.
