D&C on Tuesday/Dr Kofinas Question
Hi Girls,
So on Tues. I have my D&C. I've never had one before. I've never been put under before so I'm kind of scared! At least the procedure itself is quick. Any words of advice??
Secondly, I have a consult with Dr Bergman @ Madonna Perinatal scheduled, based on Dr Kreiner's recommendation. However, I've been reading a lot about Kofinas and I'm thinking about going to him instead. My only concern is that I've read he puts everyone on Lovenox whether they need it or not. Women went for 2nd opinions and it turns out they didn't need it. I'm unsure about those doctors who have a 1 size fits all type of practice.
For those who went/are going to Kofinas, what are your thoughts? I'm really starting to think its something autoimmune or possibly celiac- and I'm very eager (obviously) to get to the bottom of this so my hubby and I can move on with our lives onto happier times.

I had a D&C as part of a three part procedure for some other stuff. I spotted very lightly the first 2 days and then I had AF like bleeding 4-7 days after. Other than that I was ok, no pain or cramping.

I can speak on Kofinas. After 3 failed cycles with chemicals,... He kept me pregnant. His staff is AMAzing! Go!

I had a D&C - it was less scary than I expected. Emotionally I was sad after, but physically I felt totally fine. I took the next day off but I definitely could have gone to work.
Dr. Kofinas does seem to put a lot of women on lovenox, and metformin is another popular one, but I have seen two RE's and both say they are appropriate medicines for me.
I really like Dr. Kofinas, and love the nurses, and Anna at the front desk.
