Going into labor without signs?

Has anybody gone into labor without any typical signs? Today is my due date and I feel like nothing is happening.

i went 8 days late and no signs of anything until the day i went into labor. i was half a cm dilated since about 34 weeks, and 0% effaced. i had a NST the day before i went into labor and was told there was no progress and the baby was high. i woke up at 3am with contractions but they passed. about 6pm they came back and that was labor - got to the hospital at midnight and dd was born at 5am

i do know many women that dont have any symptoms and then their water breaks

I was in labor and didn't know it. In hindsight pain I felt that I thought was pressure was contractions, but at the time I didn't know it. Had my 37 week OB visit and when he checked me I was 4cm dilated. Went to the hospital and still wasn't feeling anything. Contractions were two minutes apart. I finally started feeling the contractions a few hours later.

I went a week early and had no signs leading up to going into labor. About an hour before contractions started I think I lost my mucus plug...that's about it.

Yes but it was 13 days after my due date. I wasn't dilated at all at my last appointment and then contractions started with no warning or other symptoms.

I went into labor 10 days early and had no signs. And actually, I didn't even know I was in labor! I had some spotting so my OB told me to come in. On my way to the drs office I started having very minor contractions and at that point I was 4cm!

I guess it can happen at anytime, I'm just getting impatient. I'm at the doctor's office right now waiting to be seen. Hopefully she tells me that there's some progress

My water broke the day before my due date. I felt fine that day and was even annoyed bc I wasn't even having BH! I thought the baby was never coming out and then my water broke!

I know the frustration. Baby Wolf came 3 days late. 1 day after my due date I started cramping, then it stopped..then Monday is when all the "fun" began. Other then that I had 0 signs.
My contractions ended up feeling more like period cramps then BH.

I was late and felt nothing until the day I went into labor I felt af like cramps and that evening contractions started and 5 hours later baby was born.

Thanks for the responses

Dr. said I was 2cm dilated which is more than last week and gave me a non-stress test which I "passed with flying colors".

Anyway, the internal was intense and I've had some spotting since. Maybe that will get things going.

With one, I was 5 days late, and had ZERO signs. In fact, I was getting ready to go to my sisters and putting on my makeup to leave around noon bc I was convinced another day was going to go by with nothing when my first unmistakeable contraction hit.

I was convinced it wasn't going to happen. The night before I felt nothing! I hadn't dropped and felt fine! Woke up in the am and felt a tiny bit lazy and wham my water broke! hang in there!

With my first, I went 2 weeks late & had absolutely no signs even the am I went into labor. Woke at 630 feeling great, went shopping & by 1030am i was in full blown labor & 6cm dilated by 1130.
