Fibroids during pregnancy?
DH and I are going to TTC soon. I have a ton of fibroids on the outside of my uterus. Next month I am going back to the obgyn to check on them. However, my regular PCP is telling me I am at a high risk for a miscarriage. I haven't discussed this yet with my obgyn. I plan to next month.
If you are pregnant with fibroids or know of anything about this, please share your experience. Any insight would be appreciated.
Thank you!

Fibroids during pregnancy?
I had a fibroid in my uterus during my pregnancy with DS. They weren't worried due to the location.
It really depends on size and locaction

Fibroids during pregnancy?
Like Alli said it really depends on how big and where. I had one very large fibroid that was 13cm by the end of my pregnancy. We called it the "ugly twin." But because of where it was located it never caused any issues.

Re: Fibroids during pregnancy?
I had a small one in my uterus that I only found out about during my first sono at 8 weeks. The Dr was not concerned due to it's size and location and it never caused and issue at all in the pregnancy.

Re: Fibroids during pregnancy?
I think that having fibroids on the outside wouldn't have any effect on the pregnancy. In general, fibroids shouldn't really prevent you from getting (or staying) pregnant.
I had about 5 fibroids during my pregnancy. They were never a problem. I had monthly growth sonos to make sure that they weren't growing and taking away too much space from the growing baby. In the end, they never really grew. The only issue was that they casted shadows over the baby during some ultrasounds. So during the anatomy scan, the tech couldn't see our DS's heart so I had to get a fetal echo cardiogram.
